This is my first Internet Librarian conference. I am co-presenting a session about online catalog enhancements as part of the public libraries track. When I originally sent in my proposal, it had the title "Pimp My OPAC."

I work at the Champaign Public Library in Champaign, IL, where I am the Technical Services Manager. Our online catalog is decidedly not pimped (unless you consider the default teal-cream-and-white Horizon Information Portal color scheme "pimped"), but you'll have to attend my session to find out why.

It's from 3:15 to 4 PM on Monday, October 23.

I have a (not frequently updated, but we are trying to be better about it) library tech weblog called The YALT Blog, which I co-write with my husband, Tim. YALT stands for "yet another library tech." The title was my idea. Tim wanted to give it some nerdy name.
