I'm an attendee, not a presenter but thought adding a page for myself would be fun. Currently, I'm a law librarian at the San Francisco and Palo Alto office of Paul Hastings, LLP.
I started a Judicial Profiles Wiki last year after the IL2005 conference, but unless you are a law librarian, it may not be very interesting..... Still a work in progress, and not yet publicized much! Have been trying to hash out a few internal (behind firewall) / external (public) issues. I blog sporadically, but not about anything in particular, nor is the content necessarily law-related.
Our private library is playing around now with what we can do with social software (the law library 2.0) and are progressing slowly.
I'm an alum of University of Michigan School of Information (Go Blue!) and one of the original Internet Public Library founders from way back in 1997. The presentation I attended yesterday titled "The Second Life Library 2.0: Going to where the users are" - sounded so eerily like what we experienced setting up the reference and Virtual Reference Desk - so many of the same questions, same issues. (It was a little freaky listening to this presentation. Especially the similarities to setting up a MOO & having strangers and librarians attempt to do reference there - anyone remember MOOs?) I'm going to have to join Second Life and get an avatar just so I can see the state of the virtual reality universe (do they still use those terms?) now.
Since I'm so late to the game here, there is really no point in adding my schedule, plus I am kind of a hit-the-presentations-that-sound-interesting kind of person. Very spur of the moment. So much more fun that way, don't you think?
